The School Book Tag

Hello! I got a tag nomination from Iridescence a while back, and I’m just getting around to it. She nominated me for the School Book Tag, which is actually quite original!

I’m really excited for this, because I absolutely love reading. I feel as if I don’t read as often as I’d like to anymore, because of school, but I still love all thinks book-related. Hopefully when summer comes I’ll be able to start reading and writing more. 🙂

Anyways, enough of that. Let’s just skip straight to the rules, shall we?

  • Mention the creator of the tag.

The creator of this tag was the lovely Chloe.

  • Thank the person who nominated you.

Already did that up above; thanks again Iridescence, it means a lot! You’re one of my favorite bloggers. 🙂

  • Answer the following with the book that most fits the statement.

MATH: A BOOK THAT HAS TWO CHARACTERS THAT EQUAL PERFECTION

dash.jpgDash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

Okay, let me tell you about this book. I adored it so much; it was witty, it was cute, and it was overall a great holiday read. However, my favorite part of the novel are definitely the characters. I admire the chemistry the two teens share and I enjoyed reading about their holiday adventures. Oh, and to this day, Dash remains one of my literary crushes. There’s something about him that gets to me, you know?

ENGLISH: A BOOK THAT SHOULD BE A MODERN CLASSIC

perks

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

Call me a cliche teenage girl, but I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. If it isn’t already considered a “classic”, it really should be. It tackles many problems teenagers face that are often too taboo to talk about in the media. Reading this book was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish, and it always gets me every time. If you haven’t read it already, I highly recommend it!

P.E.: A BOOK YOU RACED TO THE FINISH WITH

ReasonsToBeHappy-comp31.jpgReasons To Be Happy by Katrina Kittle

I read this book so long ago, but it will always remain one of my favorites. I remember getting the book on my 12th birthday, and finishing it the very next day. I spent the entire day reading it because I was so engrossed in the storyline. It moved me and resonated with something within me. I literally could not put this book down!

MUSIC: A BOOK THAT REMINDS YOU OF A SONG

lostLet’s Get Lost by Adi Alsaid

This was a tough one; I had to scour my bookshelf to find something that reminded me of a song. I picked this novel because it reminds me of “Drive” by Oh Wonder. I feel like the lyrics are applicable to the the story, especially the prechorus (“But I can’t help but drive away from all the mess you made… And I promised I’d be there but you don’t make it easy”) and chorus (“Cause loving you, loving you is too hard… I cannot be loving you, loving you”).

  • Nominate 3 others to do the tag.

For this tag, I’ll be nominating Elm, Anthony, and Skye, as well as any other book lover who wants to do this tag. 🙂

That concludes this fun little post. I really enjoyed doing this tag, hopefully I’ll be doing more in the future!
